Cadets are issued two set of boots.  The C1 uniform boots must be polished to a mirror shine.

 

Red Star cadets need to complete a brief written test to obtain the honour of wearing the prestigious Lorne Scots cap brass.  The Lorne Scots version is the largest and most detailed cap brass issued throughout all of the Canadian Cadet Corps.

 

All cadets must be familiar with the In Flanders Fields poem.
