Dates: Band practice runs all year; practice is Tuesday nights 1900h-2030h

Description

Dress for band practices is C5 (FTU – Field Training Uniform) (Sept-May) & Civilian dress (June-Aug)

  • Check the Corps Facebook page for up to date practice times and dates.
  • The Band starts up 19 Sept at 1900 hrs
  • Practice dates are not posted on the website
  • 676 Cadets have the unique opportunity to participate in the Lorne Scots Pipes & Drum Band
  • Cadets must have the permission of the Commanding Officer, be highly motivated and free of disciplinary issues to participate.  
  • Cadets will received instruction on playing bag pipes or tenor/bass/snare drums at no cost
  • Cadets will be required to place deposits on personal equipment such as a chanter for pipe instruction or tenor sticks for tenor drum instruction..
  • Instruments and band uniforms will be provided at no cost.
  • Cadets will be integrated into the band when they reach the required level of proficiency.  
  • Parents with an interest in music are also welcome to join.  Please see the Commanding Officer for more information.
  • Participation in the band is a multi-year commitment
